    Couplet poem

10 lines (10 syllables in each line)

    Last Breath

Withered body, sunken eyes, tattered heart,
barely breathing as my life falls apart
Tired of this life, a series of torments,
I have begun counting my last moments
A life without love, affection and care
A life painful, frustrating and threadbare
A life devoid of peace, comfort and bliss
I don't know what I'd done to deserve this
But now that I'm quite close to my last breath,
I hope my miseries end with my death
