I'm done.
I tried.
I swear I tried.
God knows I've tried.
But I just cannot.
Cancer kills her, but I survive mine.
Covid kills them, but I survive mine.
A bullet kills him, but I survive mine.
A knife kills him, but I survive mine.
A car kills her, but I survive mine.
Suicide called so many, but not me.
Never me.
Even our daughter...
I cannot watch another person I love die and survive what they could not. I cannot take a single moment more of this emotional and mental torment. It is too much for any human to take.
And I cannot take anymore.
