    Even the stars die,
As they shine in your dark eyes,
    But you'll never know why,
You just feel it all inside,
    Even the sky fades
As it writes out the first page,
    Of the promises you made,
    What would the night say?
    Even the seas turn,
On your whim of faux concern,
It's a lesson we all learn,
    Touch you, and we burn,
    Even your beauty's lost,
From the face of the hall clock,
    And hearts become hard rocks,
If you don't care for love's cost.
