The wheel of cart taken a long hiatus
as the time rolled with each passing day
the cart of choices has no choice to move
ahead
in the uncertain hours, it, assumed silence

making peace with moving minutes,
the seasons are not like before
no timely taste of summer nor winter
untimely is the shower of hailstones

the wheel of the cart has no strength
to forebear
the changing scenario of climes,
it wished to stay for a while in thinking
staying within the breeze of seconds,

it went into calming the self as the wheel
already bore the brunt of the yoke, stepped
into a puddle and sometimes
hurt itself crushed in the breaches of soil,

succumbed to mushy mud, left with
no strength to carry itself further,
unbeknownst to it, had seated in its
laps tired of rolling itself, now, wants

to make peace with changing times
as it wanted to relax and retire for the rest of life
