    Renunciation of the world(Tark-e-Duniya) is not Islamic practice By Arif Mohammed.

    Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir'Raheem

    In the Quran, Allah(SWT) cautioned against creating separate sects as a Muslim. But, Some muslim sects practice "Renunciation of the world" (Tark-E-Duniya). The practice is to keep yourself away from this worldly affairs and only remember and pray to Allah(SWT). This practice was not there till Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)'s life. The Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) was active in teaching and practicing Islam along with worldly affairs. Quranic verse and Hadith doesn't promote the practice of renunciation of the world. Let's read and understand with the following Ayats and hadith.

    Surah Nisa Verse 4:
    If you fear you cannot act fairly towards the orphans—then marry the women you like.

    Hadith Sahih Bukhari, No: 5063
    -------------------------------------------------
    Narrated Anas bin Malik: A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet asking how the Prophet worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, Where are we from the Prophet as his past and future sins have been forgiven. Then one of them said, I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever. The other said, I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast. The third said, I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever. Allah's Apostle came to them and said, Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you;
    yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow my tradition in religion, is not from me (not one of my followers).

    Surah Nisa: verse 36
    Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.
