Lost and Never Found

I glanced across and was confronted with a mystery
I want a future with this creature in front of me
Though I'm ignorant of her history
Anything it takes to have a dance with her I will do

A flick of her hair sets me in motion
The crossing of her legs causes within me a commotion
Not even a few minutes and in my heart a gape
I'm in a prison from which I desire no escape
Within a candle begins to burn
Butterflies flutter gently within my entrails
I embark on a journey with no return
Off I go now to explore her unseen trails
And I wander into her forest to be lost and never found

With those defiant green eyes she challenges me
Dares me to be her knight in shining armor
To be of them all the greenest arbor
Bust alas knights are things of a bygone age
All I am is one who works for a modest wage
But in a world full of bore a little laughter is all she's after
So I play the clown
I change who I am and play her game
Until I get to where I barely know my name
And I wander into her forest to be lost and never found

I stare intently at her eyes and dip into her ocean blue
As she disappears into the night I feel a little bit blue
My mind feeds on the phantoms of my illusion
That our story will have a happy conclusion
I wish for her to let me make her garden bloom
Anything else for me now would be certain doom
I settle in and across the window flies a dove
As I dream sweet dreams of her love
And I wander into her forest to be lost and never found
