So I went to attend a lecture by Gayatri Chakrabarti Spivak, right after a class of Postcolonial Literature Studies and after a heavy dose of Aurora's Infections of A Different Kind album, this is what I come up.

    Blergh. No hashtags. #peace_out

    So Quiet

    Peace came in pieces
    With its electric eclectic touches
In my dreams I'm mad with silence
Don't you speak over my voice.

    Run shivers through my bones
    They will not crumble
    Into dust and ashes
    I'll be indomitable and impossible.

I'll speak, I'll tell you what it takes
    To speak your mind
    When everyone minds you
As if you're their own business.

Don't you speak over me, for me
I'll say what, when, if I want to.
I'll love you like I want to
In fragments and pieces and a whole.

    We all seemed to fall
    Craving dreams of silence
    Peace came slow, so quiet,
    We never heard it coming.
