    "The thirst of your love"

I stand here in the labyrinth of dunes,
trying to figure out which way to go.
I am not sure what brought me into
the middle of the desert; was it fate
or was it love? Or was it just the trail
    of yours I followed ?
Can love be magical enough to siege the wind
so it wouldn't wipe off your footprints etched in
    the sand?
Or would the fate be reluctant
    enough to bring me here?
And all of the sudden I saw
    your footprints everywhere.
Is it mirage or another wicked trick
    the fate played?
What if I choose the wrong way
and these mounds of sand engulf
    me in?
Would it be worse than if I take
the right way and you wouldn't
    be waiting for me
    where the journey ends?
    The more I think,
    the more trails are emerging,
    and my parched throat
    is getting drier.
    Which way should I go?
Should I go in the way
    in which your fragrance
    is most intense?
    Or you'd be waiting
    in the direction in
    which birds are going.
Would I meet you ever again?
Or all this is just an illusion, and
    I should go back.
No, I won't because it is better to die
in this scorching desert than to
be alive with the thirst of your love.
