    If I Was The Wind...

If I was the wind in May
I may find a little happy child
    Along life's way
Caress her cheeks, swirll around her feet
I'd blow through trees and enter windows
    Finding, sadness, dry their tears
    Blow down dirty streets
    And sweep them clean
    I'd blow the ocean waves
Til all the pollution ended on some shore
Than finding a sail without wind
I'd fill their sail til I blew them home again
Than to the mountains I would blow
And swirl around each tree and clift
I would visit all the places God's painted
    With mountains, streams, and flowers
Than settle in some mossy Glenn
And rest amongst the faery towers
If I were the wind in the month of May
