    Monotony is my friend
But no one talks about her
Each day she comes and goes
    But what they vividly remember,
    Is that one single event
    One cold murder
    One last shrill
    One day of love.

    Monotony is my friend
    And each day she comes
Wrapped in the morning coffee you make
Like a dream beneath the pillow
Monotonous as the good night kiss.

    Monotony is my friend.
And I will ask her to stay
I will write a poem on the usual
Coz monotony may not be the spark
But certainly is the breath of air,
    That everyone needs,
    To keep living.
