good-bye

good-byes aren't my strong suit
especially when I bid them to you
but this is a crossroad
if there ever was one
and it's time to go
different ways & on our own
there are no big regrets
at least on my side
and the small ones I'll forget
perhaps in due time
as of now, I can't think clear
but rest assured once the fog settles down
I'll come down to your town
and then you can show me around
different ways, as they may be
I hope they converge, ever so briefly
just to bid you another good-bye
but mean it when I say it this time.
