All of the shaking, and twitching,
panicking and breathlessness, the walk uphill,
all agog for your response,
yet stiflingly still.
Frighteningly quiet, screaming inside,
looking into your eyes from the corner of my eye,
If you could read my mind,
you'd be deafened by my cry.
All agog, yet for a response,
time fractured in places,
finally moved forward, and I cracked,
when you walked back and a few paces.
