Hang in time
Like stars
Burning holes
Through that celestial shroud
In another life

And called them gods
Now they yearn
From their plexiglass prisons
To run wild
In the mind of man
To set fire
To the sky
Once more

Sulphur waits in the wings
As the gleaming sounds
Rise and fall, twist and turn
It waits to be invited inside
Smoke clouds the air
Like a tarnish on a spoon
