Blood Soaked Promise
The first time I showed up to your house, I was covered in blood and bruises. I'd just killed a man, he was trying to corner some woman in an alleyway. My sister died like that, and I couldn't help but think of her while I was beating that man to death. I didn't realize what I had done, until it was too late. I was in shock, and I passed my house to get to yours. You brought me inside and cleaned me up, patched my bleeding knuckles. You didn't ask. You knew, but you didn't ask. When my father killed himself in front of me, I became a drunk. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw it all over again. So I drank. During a drunken stupor of mine, I got into a fight. A group of I think 7 men jumped me, old friends of mine. I killed them too, and hated my father even more because of it. He made me a killer. I stumbled to our favorite date spot, one of the kind women who works there took care of me and called you. You hated me for drinking, I wasn't myself. You tried to be understanding, but I crossed the line and you told me if I didn't stop drinking, you would leave me. I stopped. When I hit my head after being kidnapped and tortured, I was seeing my dead sister everywhere. I didn't tell you. I didn't want you to leave me. When you found out, you told me that you would never leave me for something I had no control over. You apologized for ever telling me you would leave me, you apologized for using it as a weapon. You made sure I knew you wouldn't leave me.Now, I find myself telling you that I won't leave. You asked me to promise. Some days are harder than others, and I don't want to live, but I will. Our promise to each other is soaked in blood, but for the first time, I'm okay with that.©ladyend
My fear is not that he doesn't like me, or that he'll leave me,It's that he loves me, and that I don't like myself enough to let him.©white.pigeon.whims

Whatever It Takes
I don't like what's going on around me. So, I'm changing one thing at a time. Complacency and I don't agree. To make moves while the crowds around me whine. Whatever it takes to reach my dreams and goals. The urge to fight I can't shake. Almost found myself in a hole. What's inside no one can break. I don't like the limits that are put on me. To where not a soul, really, knows what I'm capable of. All of the excuses are starting to flee. When we feel that we can't go any further we shove. The impossible is what's next. Holding on to no secrets. With the internal muscles that I flex. And, today, no regrets. Hold on, just hold on. Let me show you what's next. ©robertwjeter
When words felt short And daily talks started to be a memoryMind started to fightAs the time was changing the story Conversations became mere repliesAnd emojis vanished from textsAll time conversation changed into one timeBut now they ain't got that time Things doesn't change ;it's just the priorities !©thalassophile_soul

Birth of a poet
Moments:The early morning drizzleThe song of the windchimeThe rustle of the leavesThe chirping of the birdsThe rain tapping against your windowpaneThe big blue skyThe old cottage by the lakeThe smoke from the chimneyThe sunset in the horizonThe color of duskThe song of the moon and the starsThe silence of the night; The poet's soul was set ablaze!©reglovespoetry
