Reflections from the Quran, and a few thoughts here n there.
They don't need to know how much you prayed and cried for them in your duas. He already heard you, and that's enough.©the_muslimfriend
Everything in this universe is following the law and order of Allah perfectly. We, the mankind, have been given just a little freedom, and look at the chaos we have created on this earth.©the_muslimfriend
If your grief doesn't lead you to wake up for tahajjud and cry to Allah, then it isn't grief or sadness. It's your anger, it's your ego that's been hurt, it's you being numb and feeling empty. Get up and weep before Allah, He'll fix you.
Don't be unjust to your soul by depriving it of the gift of imaan. Overcome your greed of the worldly pleasures and let it engulf itself in the remembrance and worship of Allah. Lead your soul to its happy place, where it truly belongs and feels loved.©the_muslimfriend
Just having a Muslim name doesn't guarantee us jannah. We have to live up to it.We have to show it in our actions. Cuz islam is all about: 'actions speak louder than words.'
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am Your slave. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none Who may forgive sins but You.
“In fact, your ummah (religion) is one ummah (religion), and I am your only Rabb; so fear me alone. Yet people have divided themselves into factions and each faction rejoices in its own doctrines! Well, leave them in their heedlessness for an appointed time.”Quran Surah Al-Mu'minun : Ayah 53-54
Believe in the power of Allah more than you believe in the power of your Dua.©the_muslimfriend
“He (Allah) is withholding the sky in a way that it cannot fall down on the earth without His permission; surely, Allah is very kind and merciful to mankind.”Quran Surah Al-Hajj : Ayah 65
All of this isn't for nothing. Don't live your life aimlessly. As a Muslim, know what your duties are and what your purpose is. Set goals. Check yourself everyday. Take responsibility. Be productive.©the_muslimfriend
Sometimes life throws the most unexpected turns our way. On this journey of spiritual growth towards our Author, we should be prepared to be bewildered, to confront our biggest fears, to be tried and tested, to be completely wrung out, to feel dead on our feet and yet wake up the next morning in unfaltering faith and hope, in the light of sheer optimism and thankfulness to learn something new. I believe in the power of experience. No lesson can impact our souls more profoundly than the those we learn through our experiences. No values can be instilled in us more intimately, more deeply than those we cultivate from our tribulations. When you are tempted to give up, dust yourself off and tell yourself that the greatest version of yourself is in the making. And know that there is absolutely nothing that will bring you more happiness than getting there. Not just because you will be stronger, wiser and more kind but because you will find yourself closer to Him than you were yesterday. ©sarahjowhar
