To my understanding, this is not a plagiarism issue, as I don't think he's actually claiming our work is his own; but regardless, it's completely unacceptable for anyone to take our work and post it offsite without our direct knowledge and consent.
It's bad to let your farm grow weeds. It's shameful to let good seed mingle among these To be deprived of light, warmth, growth, And a voice to guide them through and through. So, Who'll be to blame for your children's Captivity, barrenness, voicelessness and grievances? Who'll be to blame for their ill manners too, If not you?
Dear Ruchita, I'm not known for doing anything at all on time. Ever. But I am known to get things done eventually. And in regard to the matter of your birthday, I had the very best of intentions, I swear! That's why I had the date of January the 4th programmed into my phone calendar, along with your name and a notation denoting that it was your birthday. Furthermore, I had a reminder notification scheduled to go out the day before. That's all well and good, and I can tell you that on January the 3rd, I was well aware that the next day was your birthday. The trouble is, I didn't take my wonky memory into account; particularly my short term memory, or rather the lack thereof. So on the day of the 4th, when I should have been composing this post for you and singing your praises, I was instead knee deep in challenge submissions. So that explains that day. I've no valid excuse for the 5th and the 6th because I'm not sure what all went on and I'm kinda still in shock that it's already three days later. So this is my roundabout way of saying that even though I didn't get things done in a timely fashion, you were definitely on my mind and in my thoughts and prayers. But I'd imagine that you probably know that by now. I hope that you had a fantastically fun birthday because you deserved it! May your year ahead be as delightful, wonderful, joyful, peaceful, interesting, entertaining and amazing as you are! Lots of love and best wishes to you now and always.
P.S. Next year I'll make sure to have my phone send me the reminder notification for your birthday on the day of, not the day before.
This is my submission for the #cees_war_prompt challenge on my other account. This challenge had a 20 line maximum and a required phrase prompt, which was "as I wage a war of one, my armaments can't fail me now." Thank you for reading!
THE WARRIOR by Carolyn Glackin I stand suited up and ready I've forged these nerves of steel My mind is clear and focused For now's the time to heal
I know my course of action And I'll execute this plan I'm on a recon mission To save each woman, child, and man
There'll be no epic battle I'll send out a white dove To let all know for certain I'll win this war with love
But as I prepare to head out An awareness dawns on me If I want to save mankind I should start by saving me
So I stand here at the ready As I wage a war of one And my armaments can't fail me now Lo! The healing hath begun! Copyright Carolyn Glackin 12/13/2019
