I am a living enigma , it may take you a life time to unveil me
Can you tame the wilderness Of so strong a feeling called love? How to measure tenderness Of an enraptured heart? How do you hide From a lover's curious sight ?To restrain your wandering mind Do you possess the might?©uddeepana_96
Happy Teachers' Day
A bond as clear as waterAs pristine as natureIs shared by a student and a teacher A person as inspiring as the writerAs caring as mother Is none but a teacher©uddeepana_96
Day and Night
The day ages And turns into night ,Embracing the darkness ,Leaving behind the light .Day's demise is mourned By the ones drowned in sadness. In the night blind world ,Darkness loses its existenceNight sings aloud to console The world afflicted with grief .But it loses its role In a world that has turned deaf. Souls never die , they turn into night,And escape our vision in the absence of light©uddeepana_96
The tree of promises Has shed its leaves .Pseudo concern has finally Unmasked its face .Trust is drowning In the sea of deceit And their priorities Are changing every minute.©uddeepana_96
Quest for friendship
My bare feet hurt While walking done the pebbled lane .My face burnt As the summer sun shone. Lonely me kept staggering Until I saw a tree. I dozed off sitting Under its shady spree. A menacing dream broke my slumber Making me thirsty .A lake nearby with crystal clear water Quenched my thirst and made me feel frisky. As the sun sank , darkness sprout And my way got lost. The stars blinked and the moon shone bright To assist me in my quest . I paused a while Having found what I wanted To look up and smile Since I was elated
The entrapped me breaking the vicious loop Is Godot ; and Godot never comes ,My naive mind coming out of the deceptive mazeIs a mirage ; and mirage never exists .
Let's row our boats at our own pace,Why to join the rat race?©uddeepana_96
The noisy streets , once permeated by commutersAre now as still as the rarely trodden graveyards. The thundering sound once made by the zestful ridersIs now a complete stranger to the empty boulevards. The classroom that once rejoiced Along with the frisky butterflies, Now seems desolate and wretched , Mourning constantly , hiding her tears. The markets hosting a plethora of vendorsNow sigh, gazing at the shut doors of the stallsThe parks once enlivened by the jolly songs of the toddlers Now await eagerly the visitors' strolls.©uddeepana_96
At the window
Holding her ceremic coffee mug,She stands at the window of her cluttered bedroomGazing at a street dog snugIts puppy in its cosy bosom. The bubbles in the mug stare at her angelic face,Illuminated by the bright morning rays.Again she casts her glance At the chirping birds, with multi-hued plumage .The honking vehicles blending with the cries of the street vendors,Create a shrieking cacaphony. The merry schoolgoers, the old lady in the temple offering prayers,Paint a soothing picture of harmony. Suddenly she sinks into her land of memory Making it difficult to wake her up from her reverie.
